    Background

    In the unit we cover a wide range of risk management activities. This assignment and the associated group student presentations will enable us to examine and compare risk management frameworks for different types of companies / organisations.
     

    Your Mission

     
    You are required to create a hypothetical business and to develop an Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) for that organisation.
     
    Each student group should choose a different business type and liaise with the Lecturer to ensure a suitable mix is achieved across all groups. Choose from: Listed Public Company.
     
    You must use research and use supporting industry information along with risk, governance and control related literature to synthesise, critically evaluate and support the details within your Enterprise Risk Management Framework document.
     
    As a guide you should include as a minimum:
    ·        Cover page with list of contents
    ·        Executive Summary which includes a summary of the structure and how it will help an organisation to manage its risks
    ·        Background to your hypothetical organisation
    ·        Diagrammatic view of your Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).
    ·        Your document should include the Enterprise Risk Management Structure including:
    o   Key risk and control Committees
    o   Key risk related roles and responsibilities
    o   Strategy and Policy
    o   Risk Management techniques/activities/processes for ensuring that risks are identified, assessed and managed
    o   Oversight and monitoring activities
    o   Conclusion

    Instructions / Rules

    1.    Ensure you have included sufficient industry information along with risk, governance and control related literature to synthesise, critically evaluate and support the details within your Enterprise Risk Management Framework document.
    2.    The document should have appropriate headings, subheadings and page numbers. 
    3.    Use the Harvard Referencing rules.
    4.    This work should be in one document such as Microsoft Word.  This assignment should be typed using times new roman font size 12, 1.5 line spacing and double that between paragraphs, with appropriate headings and attention to spelling and grammar.  The report should not exceed fifteen (15) pages (excluding the list of references).
    5.    It is TOP policy that assignments cannot be submitted late without prior approval of the unit coordinator and only in extenuating circumstances supported by evidence. Assignments submitted late without prior approval will not be graded.
    6.    Before attending class you must submit your work to the Unit’s Turnitin.
    7.    You should also physically hand your lecturer a hard (printed) copy of the assignment prior to the commencement of the lecture.
    8.    Your assignment must have the correct TOP cover sheet attached and the declaration must be signed.
    9.    Attach a copy of the summary Turnitin result page to your hard (printed) copy assignment.
    10. Ensure a thorough edit and spell check using English (Australian not American).
